Having an outdoor Wedding Ceremony can be a beautiful event. The sights and sounds of nature around you seem to predict a new beginning. A fresh and lovely start!
Where to Have Your Ceremony:
We have provided the music selections and sound requirements for outdoor Wedding Ceremonies by a stream, in an old schoolyard, just outside the venue where the reception is being held, in a park in the middle of the city, in a backyard and more.
Should You Use a Microphone for Your Vows:
Sometimes there are 20 people and sometimes 200 people. I always speak with the officiant before the Ceremony. I let them know that I have a high-quality cordless microphone for them to use. Most of the time they are happy to use the microphone but sometimes the officiant will tell me that they have a loud enough voice that they don't need one. That is fine for the officiant, but all the guests and relatives of the bride and groom would love to hear them recite their vows. I ask the officiant to hold the microphone up to their lips or hand them the microphone when it's time for them to say their vows so that their family, friends and guests can share in this very special moment.
Is There Electricity at Your Location:
When choosing your Ceremony location you want to check out the electricity. Sometimes you will have to get a city employee to turn on the power. We usually check prior to the day and also call whoever is in charge of the electricity to make sure it will be on so there are no last-minute surprises. You can book a battery operated sound system, but most companies will charge extra for this because it is something they may have to rent if they don't have it in stock. It does take a little more work to set these up. We always bring a backup battery operated sound system.
What if There is Bad Weather:
You should have a contingency plan in the event of inclement weather. We provided the sound for a wedding ceremony recently and the weather was very iffy right up until the last minute. We ended up doing the wedding ceremony in the venue in a separate room. The room had large windows so it was still very beautiful. Check with your venue for an alternate location.
And, as always, hire a professional DJ or sound company with experience. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have about your Wedding Ceremony.
"Just a note to let you know how great your music and your DJ was at our wedding reception! We will be telling all our friends about your great service!!"
